Engine Shop Visit Oversight

An engine shop visit is one of the biggest events in the life of a leased engine. It sets the cost, the green time and the records the next lessee will look at. The shop does the work, but the decisions belong to the owner of the asset. We're there for you, from the first quote to the final invoice.

What We Do at Every Stage

  • Pre-induction review. Records, LLP status and the shop's quote, checked before the engine is inducted, with a build standard set for where the engine goes next: another lease, a sale or part-out.
  • On site for teardown. We're there when the engine comes apart, so findings are seen first-hand rather than read in a report weeks later.
  • Line-by-line workscope negotiation. Including scrap and BER challenges, and DER and PMA repair options where the lease allows them.
  • TAT tracking. Weekly cost and status reports, and an eye on the outside repairs that actually drive the schedule.
  • Test cell. On site for the test cell run and acceptance.
  • Release records and final invoice. Back-to-birth LLP traceability, a records package that supports the next lease or sale, and a final invoice audited against the approved workscope.

Who We Support

  • Engine and aircraft lessors: engines coming off lease, between lessees or in for a reserve-funded shop visit.
  • Asset managers and investors: protecting marketability, clean records and LLP visibility.
  • Airlines: technical teams managing shop visits on their own fleets.

How Engagements Work

Each engagement is scoped to the engine, the shop and how much oversight you want. We can work in the background for your technical team, or sit in as your commercial representative with the shop, on site or remotely.
